This string of Anglican Prayer Beads is made of genuine Tiger Eye beads with gold plated spacers and features a gold-plated pewter Celtic cross. A heart, carved from genuine Tiger Eye stone, is placed between the Invitatory bead and the first Cruciform bead, symbolizing God's love for us. This rosary measures 11 1/4" in length from the Cross to the 3rd Cruciform bead.

While many people are familiar with the Roman Catholic Rosary (and now slowly becoming familiar with Anglican Prayer Beads), not as many area aware of the Eastern Christian Chotki. The Orthodox and Eastern Catholics have the Chotki, a prayer rope of 25, 33, 50, 100 or 103 beads (or knots), used to focus one's thoughts on the "Jesus Prayer", or "The Prayer of the Heart". The traditional prayer of the prayer rope or beads is an adaptation of the prayer of the publican who cried out, "O God, have mercy on me, a sinner." (LK 18: 9-14) The Lord said that this man went home from the Temple "justified." Early Christians made several variations of this prayer which became known as the Jesus Prayer. It has come down to us in three forms: 1. "Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on me." 2. "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner." 3. "Lord Jesus Christ, by the prayers of Our Lady, have mercy on me." The Jesus Prayer is said on each knot or bead. When this prayer becomes somewhat automatic the next step is to move the prayer from the head to the heart. One does this by trying to focus the prayer on their heart. The prayer itself is an act of humility calling out for God's merciful help. The tradition of the prayer ropes dates back to the 7th century. In the Orthodox tradition, this is a string of 100 Walnut beads, strung on Satin cord and hand knotted between each bead.

These beautiful prayer beads are made with genuine African Jade beads. The prayer beads are accented silver rounds and coordinating seed bead spacers. An silver-toned San Damiano Cross enhances the beauty of these beads. As in most of my Prayer Beads, a small heart bead (carved from African Jade) is placed between the Invitatory Bead and the Cruciform bead, symbolizing God's love for us. This string of prayer beads measures 12" in length from the Cross to the 3rd Cruciform bead.

This string of Anglican Prayer Beads is made of glass beads with gold plated spacers and features blown glass fruits as the Invitatory and Cruciform beads and a gold-plated pewter Celtic cross. A red glass heart is placed between the Invitatory bead and the first Cruciform bead, symbolizing God's love for us. This customer specifically requested red fruits, and I used cherries, apples and strawberries. Other fruits (grape clusters and pears) are also available.

This one-week chaplet is made with Hematite beads, accented with Sterling Silver rounds and small hematite cylinder shaped spacers. The Celtic cross is silver-toned pewter. As in most of my Prayer Beads, a small heart bead (this one of hematite) is placed between the Invitatory Bead and the Cruciform bead, symbolizing God's love for us. This chaplet measures 6" in length from the Cross to the 4th week bead.

This magnificent string of prayer beads is made with beautifully carved Botswana Agate stones. The smooth carved stones have a wonderful feel to them. I wish there was some way to let you hold them! A small smoke colored glass heart separates the Invitatory Bead from the first Cruciform bead, symbolizing God's love. The cross is oxidized silver. This beautiful rosary measures 16" in length from the Cross to the 3rd Cruciform bead, and is long enough to wear as a neckpiece.

A silver tone pewter Celtic Cross enhances the beauty of these beads. These stunning prayer beads are made with genuine Carnelian nuggets as the week beads and Sardonyx as the Invitatory and Cruciform beads. The color of the Sardonyx matches the Carnelian perfectly. The prayer beads are accented with genuine Carnelian and gold-plated rounds and coordinating glass seed bead spacers. The cross is a 14K gold plated Crucifix.
